The Boneyard Choir

by Silas Crow

In a village perpetually draped in fog, the earth does not hold its silence; the buried are singing. A sinister, rhythmic melody emanates from the graves, drawing the living toward a chorus that promises eternal rest. Dare you listen to the song that never ends? The price of admission is soul-deep.

Genuinely unsettling in the best way — Crow understands that the frightening part is the singing you can hear but can't locate. It loses a little momentum around the midpoint, but the last forty pages had me reading with the hall light on.
